NRCME Submission Error Notifications |
The National Registry has added a new function.
When a new CMV driver medical exam is submitted, if the information entered does not match previously entered data for that driver, the ME will receive an email notification from the National Registry.
This is in preparation for the June 23, 2025 deadline for all states to have converted over to the new system where the National Registry will electronically transmit the driver's information to the State Driver's Licensing Agency (SDLA). Many states have already made this conversion.
If you are unfamiliar with this topic, please read our previous newsletter titled "Upcoming Electronic Transmission Requirements from FMCSA"
As you can see from the above email, the National Registry cannot electronically submit the driver's information to the SDLA until the errors have been corrected.
What information could be causing the error?
Unfortunately, the email does not indicate what error needs to be corrected and for whom. It could be that the birth date or license number was entered incorrectly, or the driver's name was misspelled.
How do I correct the errors?
When you login to your National Registry account, just to the right of your name and NR# is the section "My Tasks". All submission errors will be listed here.
We suggest first comparing the information you have on the exam documents with the information you entered into the National Registry. If you cannot find any discrepancies, you will likely need to contact the driver.
